Some of the painters I like: Edward Hopper, Ferdinand Hodler, Vincent Van Gogh, Nicolas Roerich, Paul Gauguin, Utagawa Hiroshige, among many others. And above all: Johan Van Eyck, the inventor of oil painting, for whom the visible world is a reflection of the Divine. Their paintings make me feel strong emotions.

During the time one creates, one is in a state of grace; one is no longer a prisoner ofthe world and its contingencies; one is suspended above it.
